Vigneti e Cantina Casa Vinicola Ferracane

The Company owns 7 acres, with: Merlot, Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Catarratto.

The majority of the vineyards are located in front of the Natural Reserve of the Islands of the Lagoon of Marsala, exposed to the sea breeze and warm sun of Western Sicily, to the reflections of Saline and the picturesque natural scenery offered from sunrise to sunset from the Islands Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo. A unique territory also known as “Band of the Sun” with mild winters and hot sunny summers with a constant temperature from April to October of 4200  degrees Celcius that allow the cultivation of vineyards exposed to strong sunlight to produce grapes with a high sugar content. When the grapes reach the perfect balance between total acidity and sugar, the aromas of the fruit become optimum. It’s the right time to harvest. The carefully selected grapes are harvested by hand, in boxes of no more than 15kg containers and brought quickly to the cellar, to avoid undesired fermentation.

If the vineyard is the soul, the winery is the heart of “Casa Vinicola Ferrane”. Here the grapes are vinified using the most modern techniques with the respect of our oldest traditions, heritage and memory of a territory over centuries of vine growing.

The wine is made exclusively in purity to enhance the original fragrance of the fruit which results in a finished product of remarkable elegance and pleasant persistence.

In this way the characteristics of the different varieties are enhanced to the maximum, and the character of each vineyard in relation to its zoning. The sun, the salt, the wind and the sea are those natural elements that allow the Casa Vinicola Ferracane to produce wines of excellent quality with strong personality and unique organoleptic characteristics.
